A few things that go oddly together: electric razors, a kitchen slicer and my wife’s dark sense of humor.
Last night, Annie and I went to Bloomingdales to look at overpriced electric razors—I’m tired of paying 14 bucks for four replacement Gillette blades. For reasons only known to some Bloomie store display designer, the electric razors and kitchen slicers were placed nearly side by side.
“Oooh, a head slicer,” my wife pointed. “Just stick your head in there.” She joked about putting a severed head Halloween mask on the slicer. Instinctively, I, ah, touched my neck and wondered when was the last time I bought her flowers, or said anything really complimentary. Women like to talk. Men, you must listen, or…
Moments ago I told her about my blogging the head kitchen slicer incident. “It’s because of all these terrible things I watch on TV,” she said. Yeah, the Duggar Family—”18 Kids and Counting“—is about the scariest TV she watches.
Wait. “Jon & Kate plus 8.” Kate would slice off Jon’s head. :)
